Hello blogger people!!!!! I couldn't remember my blog address...how awful is that!!!

I'm really gonna try to update at least once a week... If I don't you can yell at me I promise:)

All is well... most of you are my friends on facebook so you know whats going on with the Fox Family!

Those who aren't:
Well everyone is soooo busy!

Larry just finished his basketball season. His team was 6-8 not too bad. Now he's busy with helping Varsity, they are going to Regionals!! GO HAWKS!!
We're also getting things together for his travel team this summer. Trying to raise lots of money with donations. If you or anyone you know would like to make a donation you can do it through PAYPAL by using : teameyg@yahoo.com!! Thanks for your help!

Derek is almost finished with one basketball league and has already started the next one!! This kid is getting better everyday!! He's doing GREAT in school. Math and reading are at a 4th/5th grade level... He's in 2nd grade:)

Cerah LOVES preschool. She is getting so smart! She makes friends easy so she has a great time playing with them.

We have a new baby: Gatti!! He's a bull mastiff and is 5 months old!! We've had him since he was 8 weeks. So cute.. getting SOOO big!

Me well.. I'm busy taking everyone where they need to go:) I'm also working part time and still doing a few weddings. Plus doing all the planning for Team EYG.

Can't wait for vacation... trying to find somewhere fun to go.

Hello all~

Well the ones who know I'm still around:) I haven't forgotten I promise.

It's been really busy here. I'm still taking care of Larry's mom, not as many days, she's starting to do things on her own. She's come a long way in a year.

I have also started working again! I couldn't believe it ( I'm sure Larry couldn't either) :) I work for a company called Home Instead. Basically I go to seniopr citizens homes and keep them company or do household things for them, run errands. I've been doing it about 2 weeks. I really like the clients I have ( I have 3)

We're also having Cerah's birthday party on Memorial Day. Since her birthday is in January.. there isn't too much to do. So she'll get her "party" now:)

Derek is lucky with a July birthday. Maybe should have planned a little better!! :)

Cerah gets to spend some time with Emma the days I work in the morning. So she's excited too:)

Derek is counting the days until school is over! I can't believe it's almost summer break for him!! I can't believe he's going to be in 2nd grade!!! He's also playing tee ball again ( he'll move to pitching machine in the fall)

Larry is still coaching. He has a group of kids he's keeping in tournaments over the summer. He also plays in a league.

I'm trying to keep caught up, but these days, I spend my morning checking Facebook and email:) What a junkie!!!

I have some pics I'll post tonight or tomorrow.

Good news...and Bad news...

OK so for the good news..Larry has gotten over the whole Kentucky thing..sorta. He is very excited to see Calipari "might" be coming to be their coach. ( If he already has agreed sorry, I haven't had my ESPN this morning) :) So he's a little better and not yelling at the TV:)

Now for the bad news:

I had a little accident on Sunday. Don't ask.. it just happened:) I was taking brownies out of a pan and oopppsss there I am off to the ER. 5 stitches later I am on my way home.. 9 days I have to leave them in my hand. AND I had to have a tetanus shot. My day was GREAT on Sunday:)

So many of you know we're BIG Kentucky basketball fans. Well...Larry is IRATE at the firing of their coach!!! Why would they fire a coach who has worked his ass off to make the program better? Why would the fire a coach who has some good recruits coming in next year? Why would they fir a coach who hasn't been able to have HIS TIME to get the program the way HE wants it to be. I do believe most of those players played for Tubby. Now what will happen???

Will the recruits back out? Will they find another coach willing to take the job knowing if it doesn't go the way the school wants, he would be fired too??

Sometimes I don't understand why they do these things. How are they suppose to get better if they can't give a coach time to make the program better.

Now what will they do if they're players leave?? Who will be left?? The recruits..GONE...star players... GONE

I have been gone for tooo long!! I am sooo addicted to Facebook that's the first place I go in the morning now. But I AM gonna get back to my blog. I'm gonna catch up on everyone while Larry is glued to the TV this weekend watching the 500 basketball games!!

So here is what has been happening with us:

Larry is coaching a team of 7th and 8th graders for tournements startuing now and going into the summer. He's really excited to work with these boys. Their first game is Saturday.

Derek is playing basketball and teeball. He had his first basketball game last weekend. He scored the only 2 points in the first half and 4 of the 8 in the second. You should have seen his face:) PRICELESS!! He also got his report card yesterday. He is reading at a 3rd grade level!! What a smart kid I have:)

Cerah is gonna be the next American Idol. I tell you she sings EVEYTHING!! But there's only so much of ABC's I can take!! Now we have moved to Polly Puts the Kettle on.. and the other 40 songs on her new music:)

Me, well taking care of Larry's mom is still the first thing I do everyday. I'm thinking of taking some nursing classes. Might as well get paid huh:) Still on my quest to lose 35 lbs. Fell off the wagon this week but have gotten back on. Only 27 to go:)

Lebron: HOLY CRAP I do not miss the puppy stage!! The kids freak out when he wants to play and scratches them. But he's getting better. Cerah tells me to " take him back to the cage" ( the spca)

We're trying to plan some vacations this summer. I think we'll be heading to Indiana again. I can't wait to meet a blogger pal!!! Then I think we're coming to Kentucky again!!! Kim Jay and Alex here we come:) I think UK plays EKU again and Larry wants to come watch the kid from our area. He plays now:)

I can't wait to see everyone!!

One PROUD " Mom"

Our Hawks played their final game tonight. It was one of the best games I have watched in a long time. I am so proud of those boys. I have watched them play their entire high school careers and they have grow into the finest young men I could know. They make me proud to know them.
Now I know every team always says how they were cheated or they didn't have the right calls. Well this time it was true. When parents and other people watching the game can see the bad calls you know something is wrong.

We played Handley tonight. They're a really good team, don't get me wrong. BUT they had some refs that were on their side. We had fouls called on us when we weren't even doing what they called. There were so many times the whistle blew, but no one seemed to know what the fouls was so a travel was called. You would have thought we were taking a Sunday stroll. They shot 40 free throws, we shot 17?? Anything wrong with this picture?

I am so proud of these boys. They gave it all they had and it showed. They have grown up and acted like the gentlemen they are. I would be proud to have any of them as a son.

Tonight was the last game for our Seniors, Andrew, Terrell, Kieren, Keaton, Devon, Eric, Joe and Tyler. They did a great job and had an awesome season. They should be so proud of themselves. I am and I know Larry is. Derek looks up to those boys and I couldn't ask for better role models for my son.

I love you boys and am so proud of you. Keep your heads up, be proud of what you have done and what what you have become.

Derek got to go in the locker room after the game. He came out and said:
" Mom, was tonight Skyline's last game?"
I told him it was and he was almost in tears.He has "know" these boys his whole life. Most of these boys were playing on Larry's JV team when Derek was 2. He has always looked up to them and he had so much admiration for these boys. They have always been around him and have always played with him when he goes to the gym. They have never turned away from him and have always given him 5 or shook his hand. He always feels like such a big kid when he gets to do that, He is in basketball heaven to have them around.

Thank you to my boys who have been such great influences on my kids. They have great role models in you all. Best of luck in all you do and remember we love you:)

Why are some teams better than others?

So this will be one of those posts where you either agree or not. You can get mad or not..

THIS IS MY OPINION AND MY OPINION ONLY!!

OK so for as many years as I can remember there have been people who have complained to no end about teams and their players. " This team has better players" " Why does this team seem like they play better together" " Why is this county better than our county"

I am so tired to hear about parents complaining yet don't do anything to help their kids along. No extra practice, no summer leagues, no support to get them that good.

I say all this because I believe that kids will do better if they have support from their families. NOT only when they do great but try hard and get the job done. It may not be a win, but it was FUN!!!

Prime example:

NO NAMES:

One county complains that their county is not " as good" as the other county. Her is why:

The other county starts playing their kids in instructional leagues at 5!! Not the 2ND/3rd grade. Derek is playing basketball in the "other county" where the kids start at 5/6 years old.

Derek's "league" has 6 teams of 10 players each. That's 60 kids already playing at 5 years old!!!

Get with the program, get your kids out there, help them, show them you're interested in what they do.

Do you think Derek would have been able to dribble a ball at age 2 if we didn't show him how fun it was? Kids learn by example, set a good one for yours.

Oh and the most important thing about being a "Sports Parent"

BE RESPECTFUL

I have seen so many parents yell, scream and throw fits.

I ask Who is the adult?

I know sometimes things don't' go the way you want them to go, there are always going to be bad calls. Remember:

I know it seems like forever since I've been here. I feel like I"m so far behind in blogging and reading blogs. I try to get on here at night but by the time I get the kids to bed I'm ready too. How bad is it that I go to bed at 9pm??

Our Hawks lost on Wednesday night. 45-44 in OT!! However, we should still make it to Regional. Depending who wins the game tonight will determine who we will play...It may be the team we lost to on Wednesday!

Derek is having too much fun playing basketball. He gets excited when it's Saturday. Cerah wants to play too.

I've started getting some moms in our area together to do some fun stuff over the summer. Most of the girls are girls I went to school with. So that will be too much fun to have our kids play together. We're even gonna take a field trip to the zoo in DC!! How fun!!

Well, I got to go take care of my new addiction..FACEBOOK!!! What am I thinking!! If you're there find me so we can be "friends" well if you want to be my friend.

What a busy weekend. I Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day. I did.

Derek started basketball yesterday and he did great! He so loves his sports! Tee ball starts next month. He's our little jock:)

Cerah is getting tooo big to fast. The words she comes up with I tell you. Lately she is "exhausted" and can't do anything. That's her new favorite word.

Larry's season is over:( But our Varsity team is in the district tournament!! We were the #2 seed and won our game on Friday. Our next game is Wednesday vs a team we beat twice in the regular season so HOPEFULLY we can get it done again! GO HAWKS!!

Me well, I'm still going to Larry's moms house. Not as often. She has started therapy so she is getting better at doing things for herself. I think she's doing great!! I've also gotten together with some friends from high school and we're planning a "summer group" for the kids this summer. I'm excited to see my friends and have the kids hang out and do fun things.

Lebron.... well let's just say he's adjusting. The kids just don't get why he wants to "fight" all the time. We tried to explain that he's a puppy and has to learn. They just run from him and scream:) Derek says " He's trying to kill me"

He have a new member of the family:

Lebron James Fox!

(Derek picked the name. Laebron James is his favorite basketball player)

We went yesterday and got him from the SPCA. Derek was thrilled to have a new pet. He told us a few weeks ago he was lonely and needed a new pet.

So we went looking at the local shelters and found him. Well, Derek found him and all he talked about for 2 days was "His Dog".

I got him out of school yesterday and as soon as he came around the corner he said:

"We're going to get my dog aren't we"

So far so good, the kids argue over him. But he had no accidents last night and went right to bed..with Larry and Derek of course!

He is a Lab and Chow mix, 4 months old.

Yesterday we got to spend 2 hours at the park..AND Cerah took a 2 hour nap!! How great was my day:)

Derek and Cerah are asking for a new puppy. We haven't decided yet what to do. Larry wants to get a Mastiff... NO THANK YOU!!! ( can you imagine the clean up???) I want a fun family dog. Any suggestions on a new family member??

Senior Night at Skyline

It's hard to believe that these boys are already seniors!!! Wow the time has gone by so fast, and they're not even my kids..well sorta:)
Larry and I are so proud of these boys. They have grown into wonderful young men who we love dearly. We wish them all the best in their futures as they head out into the world!

Before the game all the senior players were introduced along with their parents, where they were continuing their education and their favorite memory from school. I was taking pictures and happen to look up to where they were coming in and shaking hands with the coaches and who do I see?? Derek right there next to Larry shaking those boy's hands. He felt like a superstar. And those boys shook his hand. They all love him and I'm glad that they have never shut him out. I think that's another reason he likes to play the game so much. He's had a great group of kids to look up to for the past 4 years. I couldn't have asked for better role models for my little man.

We had a GREAT game last night!! A great way to celebrate their senior year, and the final home game of the season. The score was close the whole game. In the final seconds of the game Terrell( #15) made a basket, was fouled and made his free throw to make the score 49-48.... the other team got the ball back and was headed back up the court, we got it loose from them, held the ball for a split second and WON!!! All the fans came running out onto the court and it was GREAT!!! Those kids were so happy, as were the fans and families!!

After the game we has dinner and cake for the seniors and their families.

It finally snowed...then iced. Derek has been off school for 2 days and Cerah is chasing him around pissing him off. We did go out and play for awhile yesterday and they had fun. I was hoping they would go to bed early, no such luck. But we had fun anyway.

Finally I'm getting some pictures on:) I know I'm so far behind, you should see the scrapbooks!!!
We had a good Christmas. Christ,as Eve we went to mom and Ernie's. If was crowded but fun. The kids had a great time and then Santa came by on the firetruck.

We usually go to Larry's parents on Christmas Eve too but since Debbie had just got out of the hospital we went over on Christmas day. They kids we excited to see Santa had made it to Granny and Dug's house too.

It was wild but oh so fun to see the kids having a great time.

I made it to blog world again!! Holy Crap!! No wonder it's snowing!!I found my camera cord...but my battery is dead :( So it's charging.

Larry's team had a game last night. We lost but the team has gotten so much better since the beginning of the season. He's very proud of them. We only have 5 games left so the season is coming to an end :(

Derek and Cerah stayed at Larry's parents last night so we got to have dinner without them! I know it's awful but it was so great to sit and eat without having to tell someone to sit down, eat your food or stop throwing things at your brother/sister. Yes we went to Melting Pot ( as did everyone else form the game) Kim you guys need to come visit again so we can go again:)

WELCOME to my friend Jason, a friend from high school, he has joined the blog world!! Now he's sucked in too :)

Well, off to do some laundry, finish getting dresses and going to Larry's parents before yet another game:)

Oh my goodness where have I been??!! We have been super busy as always. Larry's season is almost over, Derek starts his basketball in a few weeks and tball as well, Cerah is well, a 3 year old going on 30! :) I'm still taking care of Larry's mom. She has started therapy so hopefully she'll need me less in a few months, that is until she has surgery AGAIN!!

I know I have been neglecting my blog, bad girl!! I can't find the cord to my camera so as soon as I do I will be uploading 500 pictures!!

I hope everyone is well, I have been reading some blogs but now I'm addicted to facebook :) As is everyone else:) I'm glad to see some of my blogger pals there as well as some friends from school :)

I can't believe this year is over!! So much has happened and it seems so unreal at times.

Our year in review:

January: Cerah turned 2, no snow

Febraury: Got our taxes:) still no snow

March: Lost my aunt Diane

April: Celebrated our 15 year anniversary of being a couple

May: I'll have to check this month:)

June: Larry's mom was hit by a car, particiapted for the first time in Relay for Life in honor of my Aunt

July: Derek turned 6, still taking care of Debbie

August: "vacation" we stayed home..still taking care of Debbie, Emma turned 1!!

September: Derek starts 1st grade, Cerah goes to pre-school:)

October: My birthday:) Holy Crap I'm 33

November: Larry birthday..he's even older 34!! Larry's mom has another surgery, I cookmy first Thanksgiving turkey, Larry starts his 2nd season of coaching the freshman team

December: Planned a wedding for 200 people in 5 weeks, lost our Peja and celebrated Christmas, celebrating New Year's Eve with Tony,Jackie and Emma

My Wish

I just wanted to take a minute to wish all my family and friends and very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It has been a year of good things and not so good things as well. I am so thankful for the family and friends I have. My husband and kids have made this year extra special. I know I don't "know" all my blogger pals, but I do love them! I look forward to meeting some new ones this year, and visiting KY again this coming year. :)

There have been times when I have doubted things that have happened or not happened. I just remind myself they all happen for a reason. Also that we are only given things to make us stronger.

I miss my family and friends that are not near or I haven't talked to in a while. It's a new year and I hope to make re connections with them. I do love them all.

We are heading to my mom and stepdads house tonight where we will have food and DRINKS:) and open presents. I'm even thinking of going to a Christmas Eve service at church.

Tomorrow we will stay home and then go to Larry's parents house for dinner and presents. We usually go on Christmas Eve but Debbie was in the hospital again and will be coming home today. We don't want to overwhelm her today.

Cookies, Cookies, and more Cookies

So we've started making cookies. I think I should work for a cookie factory:) We are having fun. I'm so glad the kids want to help more this year. Cerah actually wants to use the cookie cutters!
Derek gets bored after the eggs are broken.
This year we have/are making sugar cookies, chocolate chip, turtle cookies, toffee cookies, nut balls ( Russian tea cakes), Minnesota crunchers (our new cookies) snickerdoodles and oatmeal raisin (which will be made Christmas Eve since that's Santa's favorite)

Tony and Jackie came by last night and Cerah and Emma made sugar cookies. More sprinkles were on the floor and in their mouths then on the cookies. Oh well. It was fun for them. Emma kept saying "cook" Jackie said that she loves to be in the kitchen helping. Any guess on her present this year:)

I'm getting my cards out tomorrow. I know, I'm a slacker. :)

Almost done shopping, one gift left to get. Derek keeps adding things to his list. He has written Santa 500 letters and a new thing is added each time.. STOP IT!!

We lost our Peja this afternoon. It was for the best and I know she feels better. Derek has asked 1000 questions since. He wanted to see her when we brought her home and he wanted to be there when Larry and Tony (my brother) buried her. Here are a few pics I could find of our little miss. We just got back from the vet. Peja isn't doing well and we will have to put her to sleep wither tonight or tomorrow. She has tumors on her liver and spleen. Since she's an older dog she wouldn't be a candidate for surgery.

So I brought her home so everyone could say goodbye. I'm so dreading telling the kids. I know it's gonna be tough on them.

Peja is feeling bad

Peja..or Rottie who is 8..started acting really weird yesterday. She didn't want to eat or drink. When I took her outside to potty, it took all she had to make it up the stairs. Then once she got inside she laid in the foyer and didn't move. When she finally made it upstairs she laid all day and didn't get up to go potty again. When Larry got home I couldn't find her, we looked everywhere and finally found her in our shower.

She was fine all weekend. We even played in the yard since it was nice on Saturday.

Larry took her outside to potty before we went to bed, when she got out there he said she just laid on the ground and didn't move. He had to carry her in and lay her on her blanket. This morning she had moved a little, but has been in that same spot since, she won't go outside. We did get her to drink a little.

I called the vet...out to lunch... so waiting for them to call back.

I'm so sad. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old. The kids keep asking why she's sleeping and not playing. Derek told me this morning it looks like shes dead. I hate to have this happening so close to the holidays.

I'll let you know what happens

Well, I've gotten the picture taken for our cards, now just to get the cards done:) Also, Derek informed me today that we have to hurry and get our cookies baked because Santa was going to be here soon.

Not much else exciting, just trying to get caught up. Does that ever happen???

Larry's mom is doing well. Cerah and I go there every morning to help take care of her so she doesn't have to be alone while everyone is at work.

I have lost my address book, so if you know I have your address could you send it to me via email? I'm asking Santa for a new one:)

Hello all~

OMG I am finished with this wedding:) I can't believe I pulled off a wedding for 200 guests in 5 weeks!! Everyone had a great time!! I got tons of praise:)

I'll post pictures as soon as I get some. I only got a picture of the cake..darn it!!

Larry's mom is doing well, she's home. She didn't like the tree I put in her house. I'll take a picture and let you see it:) Just think Charlie Brown:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to wish all my family and friends a Happy Thanksgiving. We're off to Larry's parents house for our dinner. Where I'll be cooking...OH MY!!! I'm cooking my first turkey!! Wish me luck :)

Thank you all for you well wishes for Larry's mom. She is doing well and should be coming home in a few days. We're going to visit after dinner and take her some dessert.

I am so thankful for all my family and friends. Those who I see every day, those I hardly see at all, and those I have never "met". You all have been a great source of strength for me this year. A lot has happened and I have some great support out there:) Some of you I have lost contact with for some reason or another. But just know I love you.

Have a great day and remember what you are thankful for.

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that Larry's mom found out today she will be having her next surgery on Monday. Please keep her in your prayers that her surgery goes well and that she has a speedy recovery. HOPEFULLY she won't need another one.

All Derek could talk a bout was him doing so great. He was so proud of himself. As soon as Larry walked in the door he was ready to tell him.

This morning I went to volunteer in Derek's class, as I do every Tues and Thurs while Cerah is in school. Today they had an assembly with a children's author, can't recall his name but when Derek gets home I will put it on here. They all loved him and had been reading his books for the past few weeks. After he was done the reading teacher came up and said she was going to announce the first, second and third place winners of the writing contest. They would receive an autographed book from the author. Guess who won 1st place!!

He looked over at me and smiled. I was so glad to have been there to see this little man!! Since he was the 1st place winner he got 2 books!!! You could tell he was so proud!!!

I know bad mom for not posting right away. But it's been busy here. You know how it goes:)
We had lots of fun trick-or-treating this year. We went with Rylan and Sophie ( and their mom and dad) and Trent ( and his mom Stacy) We all met at Stacy's mom's house and had some snacks walked around, came back for potty breaks and more snacks and headed back out. They got a ton of candy!!

Derek and I are off to cast our votes. Yup even Derek gets to vote in the election due to Kids Vote! He is excited.

It took us a while to explain to him why we were voting. He was very clear to let us know that George W Bush was president ( as what they learned at school) so we explained that every 4 years we vote. Then he wanted to know who we vote for. So both candidates were on TV and we showed him who they were. He watched for a few minutes and asked their names. We told him Obama on the left McCain on the right. He stared for a few more seconds and said he was picking the guy on the left because he was cool...

So this morning as we're getting ready so we can leave he asks me who I'm voting for. I told him I wasn't telling who I was voting for it was a secret. He says: "How am I suppose to vote for my person if I don't know how to spell his name?" I told him to read it, sound it out and he would know. So he's ready to go:)

I hope you all go out and vote today!! No matter who you vote for!

Today Larry and I have been married 4 years.. THAT'S IT!!! ( Today also marks our 15.5 years of being a couple:) I'm so lucky to have married my best friend. He is the best father our children could ask for.

Here are some pics from that day. Let me tell you it was a cold one. It had rained ALL week, and that morning the sun was shining. I cried just for that, well and other things too. If you know me at all I cry over just about anything.

Miss Mya Diane Zorka made her appearance at 1:47pm ( Indiana time) weighing in at 7lb 5 oz and 18 inches long.

I just got a call from my cousin and she's heading to the hospital...my other cousin Amy is getting ready to have her baby!!! WOOOO HOOOO

As soon as she gets here I'll let ya know. Her name will be Mya Diane (after my Aunt Diane).

She said its so strange that Aunt Diane was buried on March 22 and Mya will be here October 22. They didn't even realize it until they were at the cemetery looking at her headstone.

Cerah's new favorite movie is The Fox and the Hound 2. She will watch it 500 times a day if she could. He has started singing the songs and screams when one of us want to watch "normal" TV.

Last night as we were leaving she says: I watch f@&* a hound. Larry looked at me and said. "what did she just say" To which I could only laugh as she repeated it and made sure we heard her that time.

OH MY I hope it doesn't come out when we're out somewhere:)!!!

Not much else is going on sorry..

Have you ever had one of those days when you just wonder WHY?? Why are people so mean? Why is nothing seeming to change for the better? Why are the people in this world so hateful toward other people? Why do we not talk to friends/ classmates that we were so close to? Why does it take Facebook or Blogger to reconnect with people? Why do people say they are going to do something and never get it done? Why do people want to meet up for lunch and never show up?

Maybe it's just me. I have had some weird things going on and have no explanations for why. Oh I guess it'll come around one day, hopefully soon.

Pumpkin Patch Trip #1

I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was BUSY!! Larry and I went to the football game Friday night, he was the guest coach so he got to be on the sidelines with the team. It was cold so we left the kids at Larry's moms. Then it was up and at um on Saturday. Basketball at 9 last t-ball game at 10 for Derek. Cerah stayed with Granny. We then went to the pumpkin patch with some friends (those pictures later) and came home. Yesterday was a relax/cleaning day. Which I'm finishing today.

We did go to the Virginia Farm Market last weekend. We go every year and the kids have so much fun, as do Larry and I:) Cerah decided when we got there she needed to pee. So I let her pee in the parking lot, yup she pees outside too... welllllllllll her panties were soaked so she went around the patch with no panties. Then...she falls on a pumpkin. Good grief.

My "PARTY"

I had a great birthday!! I got a ton of phone calls from family and friends. My mom called to sing to me (she does every year at the time I was born), my neighbor left me a card on my car...thanks Carrie, Cerah and I had lunch with Amy and Sophie at Melting Pot. Then we went to Larry's mom's for a "surprise party.

I do have to tell you that Larry was almost in the dog house.. he didn't tell me happy birthday until after 2 pm!!! I had talked to him at least 6 times before then. But, he came through for me:) That's shy I love him so much.

We were going back to town to drop the kids off so we could go to dinner. Well then Larry's step-dad came in with dinner and we had a birthday dinner there. After a few ghosts ( Larry and his step dad were scaring the kids. Wearing masks and peeking in the windows) We were "looking" for Derek's glasses so we could go home. I went into the dining room and looked, well here come Derek and Cerah carrying me a cake:) It took all I had not to cry:)

Oh and I got strippers:) More about that at the end of this post...

Stripper story:
Larry's mom kept telling me the stripper would be there by 7. So as I was cleaning the kitchen up I can back into the living room to make sure I didn't forget anything. Well here they come..All 5 of them!!! So I start dancing around. Totally making Debbie laugh. Now for the best part:

It was a group of men from their church coming to visit!! Larry's mom laughed so hard she was almost in tears.
(BTW I knew who they were, I didn't "dance" in front of them.Only to give her a laugh)

Thanks to everyone who called, sent and email or commented yesterday. It was a good day for me..well except the laundry and screaming kids:) :)

I got a phone call from my dad today to let me know my grandfather passed away this morning. I haven't seen him since I was very young. One of my dreams was to get the kids there, they live in Yugoslavia, to meet them. I guess maybe one day I can still get them there to meet the rest of the family.

I'll try to find a picture of us together so you can see what a great Dedo he was:)

Well it's Friday and you know what that means... High School Football!!!
Tonight is Skyline's homecoming!! It's gonna be a cold one but hey when is it football without it being cold?? When I pick up Derek we're going to town and they are having a parade. OH the good old days of high school. Maybe I'll sneak in for the pep rally!!!

Other than that nothing new. My days are pretty unfulfilled. Except for helping Larry's mom I'm not doing to much.Well except fo the kids that is. I am working on a wedding but it's not until May so I have a lot of down time.

Derek has his 1st spelling test today!! He has studied every night and did great so lets see how he does today. Keep your fingers crossed:)

Cerah is well, she's a 2 year old going on a 15 year old. Kim I know what you're going through!!
She is into EVERYTHING. No lotion lately, we have put all that stuff away.:)

Last night we took the kids over to Larry's mom's house so we could go to the football game. Since it had been raining all day we decided it was best if the kids didn't go so they wouldn't get sick..cough cough. It rained for awhile then POURED a few times but we had fun being able to WATCH the game instead of chasing the kids around.

Hawks win!!! 5-0!!!! It was a really good game. They're real first "test" of the season. It was an awesome game. We are so happy for those boys!!

They we actually got to have a late dinner where we could eat and talk and not have to keep telling two certain little children to sit down and eat. ( but LArry was ready to go when we were done. Not like my nights out with the girls where we sit for hours talking.. :)

AND we got to sleep until 9:30, well Larry is still asleep:)

Today we're gonna take the kids to the fall fun day at Derek's school. A fund raiser by the PTO where there's lots of things to do. Well except go outside, because I thin kit's still raining..Darn it!!

We have gone 3 school days with NO crying from Derek!! WWOOOO HHOOOO. He is doing so much better. I'm also going to be a homeroom mom the mornings Cerah is at pre-school.

Cerah still cries to go to school. She was so excited to get up and take a bath, she was too tired last night to take a bath I know bad bad momma, sending her kids to bed dirty. Shame on me:)

Our girls night out was pretty fun. We sat in Applebee's for 3.5 hours. Then went to Starbucks for an hour. Then Amy and I just sat in the car and talked about everything. It was a good night out. I think just getting away for a few hours and having some time is just what I need:)

What Can I Do??

Here is my situation:

Derek is driving me crazy with not wanting to go to school. Some days he goes right into his classroom with no problems. Other days, like today, he cries, keeps saying mommy, mommy and he won't go in.

I know he likes school. If you've ever met him you know he's a little shy ( Wonder who he gets that from....hummmm LARRY). But he has gotten SOOO much better at being around new people.

So I'm lost. It breaks my heart to have him yelling for me as I'm walking down the hall. But I have to go.

So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cerah is TOTALLY different. She screams to go to school. Oh how different they are:)

Field Trip!!!

Hey gang! Sorry I haven't been updating. It's been CRAZY!!! With t-ball, school and taking care of Larry's mom I haven't had time to anything.

School is going great for the kids. Derek has gotten a little better at making it into school. Cerah is throwing a fit the days she can't go.

Cerah is counting..to 14...when she counts she says eight...nine...ten..a lemon..:) How cute:) When she does count it drags out the word like she's counting for a game of hide and seek.

Now for Field Trip news!!!

A team for one of our local Relay for Life teams is planning a day bus trip to NYC!!! Our bus ticket is only $75!!! Not bad for a ride to NYC!!WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!! It's at the end of October. Larry says I can go as a late b-day present to me ( my b-day is the 15TH) Amy, Grace and I are going so far...and some other people too.

We leave EARLY on Saturday morning, the bus drops us off and we do whet we want for the WHOLE day. Just be back in time to get on the bus to go home. Any suggestions of what to do??? I've only gone to NYC once, with Holly and ZO, but it was icy and snowing so we didn't get to walk around. But it was too cool to see the things we did from the car:)

Well, off to take a nap. We were up late and got up early for t-ball practice.

Oh and we went to a football game last night...we won.. we're 3-0 wooo hoooo GO HAWKS!!!

First Day of School

I can't believe my kiddos are back in school!! I'm so lonely:( No one needs me:( Just kidding!!

Derek did great the first day. Walked right in and went to his desk. HUGE change from last year when he cried almost everyday I took him.

Cerah couldn't have been happier!! She could have cared less if I left. I told her good bye and went by the door just to make sure she was going to be OK. She got up walked around the bookcase and said " Goodbye mom" ( in that little tone of why the heck are you still here)

Debbie is doing better. I keep trying to get her outside and go somewhere but she's nervous. We'll see. She does to the Dr tomorrow and another on the 15Th, Then they will decide when the next surgery will be. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers for her. I tell her every time someone leaves me a comment or sends me an email:)

PS: Today when Cerah didn't have school ( she only goes Tues and Thurs) she started yelling:

"PLEASE mom I go to school. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE"

Well, I've come to a decision. I think I'm not going to go private. Thanks to Michele, who gave me some GREAT advice, I'm gonna stay just the way I am. BUT, fair warning I am going to say what I want when I want. If some reason it pisses you off then let ME know, don't tell someone else and then it gets all crappy. I don't know what happened or what was said but evidently I have pissed some people off. BUT no one has said to ME what was said or even asked ME if that's what happened. I don't like conflict and I LOVE my friends. They are a blessing to have and many friends I have had for a very long time. I cherish every moment I have with friends, they are my strength away from home. If you don't want to leave a comment for something I have said please by all means send me an email.

OK enough about that:

OH MY... Derek and Cerah are starting school in 2 days!!! Derek seems excited and Cerah just thinks she's going to play. Yeah lets see how that goes Tuesday when I drop her off:)

Other than that not much else is new. We had our first football game last night. We won!

Derek starts t-ball Tuesday night too.

Hi all!! Just wanted to check in. I know I've been a bad blogger:( Shame on me. We have been super busy with sports, Larry's mom and school staring next week. Derek is going into the first grade, we went to meet his teacher last night, and Cerah is going to preschool 2 days a week.

Yesterday we went to the park for awhile. While we were there we saw a deer playing in the field next to the playground and let me tell you all those kids that it was the greatest thing ever. There was also a groundhog, I mean Grasshog (Cerah's new word). It's ALLLLLLLLLLLL she talked about allllll night!! Oh and her new favorite thing:

C: Mom/Dad guess what?
M/D: What?
C: I wuff you!!

500 times in a row. I guess it was better that: I smack your face!!! Yup that's what she was saying!!

Derek finished basketball last night. They played 2 games. He had a blast!! Now mind you for some reason he didn't want to play too much this time. I think it had a lot to do with how unorganized they were, but he put on a show last night. He scored 12 points of the 22 they had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO one proud momma.... ONE BAD MOMMA..........NO PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!
Now it's time for fall ball for t-ball... first game on the 8Th. WHEW this kid is running us to death!! But he loves it and we want to support him.

No for going private:
I feel like I can't say what I want when I want and when I do, it's taken the wrong way and people get pissed. SOOOO I'm tired of playing the 3rd grade games and I will say and do what I want. I'm sorry I have to and if you don't want to read that's fine. I'll understand.

If I say something to some one or SUPPOSEDLY say or do something, talk to ME!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to hurt and feelings or loose and friends, which seems to be the case.

Let's just say we're a little, wait A LOT pissed at what happened.!!!!!!!!!!!

Also please keep the Sisk family, a family here we know, in your prayers. The dad of the family, was killed when a bush hog machine rolled over on him. I only met him once or twice but his wife and children I have know for a long time.

Please keep them in your prayers. I don't know all the details of what exactly happened but this family is suffering a great loss.

Well, all is going well. Debbie has finished her I.V. medication, for now, we'll find out more tomorrow. So I'm not there all hours of the night anymore. It was GREAT to be home for the weekend and spend some time with the kiddos. I still have to go there twice a day to change the bandages on her leg. But, she's getting better.

Derek is getting super excited about school. He got the name of his teacher so seeing her in his yearbook he was happy. He is also getting ready for fall ball ( t-ball) and still playing basketball. What a busy kid.

Cerah is getting ready for pre-school. I think she's more excited than Derek. Oh, and her fifths disease...lasted 1 day. Yup that's it. Her Dr. said it would be 10-12 days...nope it was gone the next day.

Larry and I are just hanging out. Getting some stuff done around the house that's been neglected for the past month. WOW!!! Who knew so much crap was not being done. I did 8 loads of laundry in 2 days!! Who knows the last time the stinkin floor was mopped. But all is well in the Fox house now. Sparkling clean.

Now to NKOTB~ I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO want to go to their concert. It's Oct 2 in DC!!! The other day we were driving to Larry's mom's and their song came on the radio. Larry started singing the main verse. I started laughing!! He said that's all I know.
( Larry don't kill me for telling all my blogger friends your a closet NKOTB fan) :)

I am reading blogs, well the ones I can read, and trying to catch up. Hopefully now since I can get home at a good time I can get some pictures up:)

Holy crap what an exhausting 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooo tired. It has gone pretty well. Debbie had Dr appointments today and she is doing very well. They say she'll get her pic line out and get to stop IV meds next week so I won't have to go down so much. I will however have to start rubbing her leg down with lotion and wrapping it back up twice a day. I told her my bill is getting pretty big:)

We are all doing well. Derek is plating basketball and is waiting for his "letter" form his school to see who his teacher is for 1st grade. Cerah has been pretty good considering she is not home and hardly ever gets a nap. Oh and today she broke out in a rash, I took her to the DR and he said if was fifths disease. Not contagious just will have a rash for the next 4-6 weeks. And it will be more visible when she's outside in the sun and after she has a bath. CRAP, I can't catch a break!!!

Larry is still getting his boys in the gym. And me well you know where I am:)

This weekend we have a birthday party to go to. So it will be good to get out and see people and have a few drinks:) :)

Yup that's how long I am at Larry's moms house everyday!! It doesn't help that Aunt Flo arrived today to make me more crazy!!

Debbie is home, pageant disaster, whiney ass

Debbie is finally home. She got home last night about 5. I am the "nurse" for awhile to help her out. I had to learn how to do her antibiotic IV and change the dressing on her leg. Also to give her the shots she needs and make sure she takes her meds on time. I have to be there by 8am (it's about 20 minutes from our house) and I get home about 10 pm (after all the shots and meds are done) The kids are so glad to have her home. She is so glad to be home.

Everything looks great and shes doing a lot better:) Thanks for all you thoughts and prayers.

Pageant day: DISASTER!!! Cerah did great until she saw the audience. Then it was " Momma hold me". I understand this is all for fun. BUT one judge gave her a 2 for personality!!! Can you believe that, a 2 year old is being judged on personality. Funny how all the other judges gave her 7 and 8's. Oh well. She didn't win or even place. She did get a participation trophy and a sucker ( her favorite part of the day).

Derek is driving us CRAZY with the whining!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean over everything and I do mean EVERYTHING!!!! We finally told him that for every time he cries he gets his TV and game taken away. Let's just say it's gotten a lot better over the last 2 days:)

I probably won't be updating as much, some of you probably don't even care, since Larry's mom doesn't have Internet!!!!!!!!! Yup you heard me right!!! I'll try to update at night depending on when I get home.

What a day t has been raining all day!! Finally it has stopped but now it's MUGGY!!!

I spent the day with Larry's mom. She is coming home on Friday. I know she is soooo happy to get home!! I had to learn a few things.. putting her IV meds into her pic line and how to dress and clean her leg. Let e just say her leg looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better!!! She is doing great!!! She will have more surgeries to help repair the bone but she is doing fine.

So I get to be a "nurse" WOOO HOOOOO.

Then Cerah and I went to lunch with Amy and Sophie ( Amy watched Cerah for me while I was learning my new trade) Now Cerah is asleep, Derek is at camp and Larry isn't home yet!!! QUIET TIME FOR MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Trip To Baltimore...LONG POST

Last Friday Derek and I got to go to the aquarium in Baltimore with his "summer camp". We had so much fun even though it was HOT!!!!!!!! We even got to go on charter buses. They were going on school buses at first. Thank goodness that changed!! Since I went with him he didn't have to stay with his group and we got to do what we wanted. We had Kyla and Blaize and their parents with us too. It was a ton of fun:

We were suppose to be outside and ready for the bus by 2:15... the bus showed up at 2:39!! It was hotter than crap and these kids were sweating

The bus ride home was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! First the air wasn't working!!! We had 58 people on our bus and NO AIR!! Then Kyle's dad got sick and we had to pull over to let them off so someone could pick him up. As we were waiting we were told that we couldn't leave until their ride got there. We did end up leaving and everyone from our bus had to be spread out onto one of the other 6 buses.

When we got on our new bus Derek wasn't happy. He didn't want to ride with the blue shirt kids (each school has their own color..ours is purple, then there's blue and red. It goes but the school colors for the high school near you)

I asked him would he rather ride a hot bus or with the kids with blue shirts. He agreed to go with the kids in the blue shirts.:)

MIL NEWS:
Debbie may be coming home on Friday!! I have to go tomorrow to learn how to give her shots and hook up her antibiotics to her IV twice a day. I think she is excited to be coming home:)

Cerah's pageant is on Saturday!!! There are 9 girls total in her group.

We had a blast in Baltimore yesterday. I'll have to post all about the great bus ride later.

This post is about this morning:

Larry and Derek were playing football on Derek's PlayStation when Derk came out yelling and Larry came out dancing. Evidently Larry won and Derek was yelling that he was a cheater. He got upset and asked me for a piece of paper and a pen. Then he called me in his room. Here is what his note said:

Derr mom and dad Derek is muving becas dad cedid

Translation: Dear mom and dad Derek is moving because Dad cheated.

All I could do was laugh (not in front of him because he was so serious about it)

Now they're having a talk in Derek's room

Off to Monster Jam. Anyone else going??? It's in Hagerstown, MD.

I'll get pics from both trips on Monday. Tomorrow we have a birthday party to go to.

I know I haven't posted..it's been really busy.

Derek had his birthday party on Sunday and it POURED rain!!!!!!!!!!!! The last few years it was hotter than heck but not this year. As we were leaving to go to the park, the skies turned black and the wind picked up. The rain did let up a little and the kids got to play for awhile. Even when it started raining again, they still played. Oh to be a kid playing in the rain. I so remember those days:)

This week has been stressful and busy. Cerah and I have been with Larry's mom. We have been learning new things with her to help her adjust when she gets to come home..they say it could be as early as next week:)

Derek and I are going to the Baltimore Aquarium tomorrow with his summer camp ( daycare). He's so excited. Except for having to get up early. The bus leaves at 7:00!!! I think I'm more upset about getting up earlier:)

Saturday is Derek's Monster Jam day. He's excited about that even more. Then Sunday we have a birthday party. Good grief he's a busy kid.

Cerah has pageant practice on Monday. Thanks for all the votes on the dress. I'll let you know how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, off to start the day. I have to go find Derek a pair of camouflage shorts to wear tomorrow. One of his leaders is leaving for boot camp so all the kids were asked to wear them to the field trip. Wasn't that sweet.

Biggest Loser...

Larry and I are on the path to losing weight. So far so good. well except those darn apple pies at Mcdee's...right:)

Larry's mom is STILL in the hospital. She was supposed to be moved to a rehab place at the beginning of the week but something happened and she didn't go. SO now she's suppose to be moved to a different one tomorrow. We're gonna go visit with the kids and take a cake so she can celebrate Derek's birthday with us:)

Yup tomorrow he turns 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow where has the time gone?!?

I'm gonna try to get some pics together from that great day... think of me at 2:30 am when I'm starting to have contractions where I can't stand up and am rocking back and forth breathing... Oh how I miss that.YEAH RIGHT

Yup, she did it!! She was covered in lotion and I asked her what she did. She told me

"I make mess"

So I went to check and there it was. ALL over my bed and dresser. She had taken the top off and squeezed the WHOLE bottle out. Mind you I only left her for about 5 minutes to go downstairs and put a load of laundry in!!

We now have to put everything out of her reach, which is pretty tough since she is so darn tall!!!

In some good news:

Debbie may be coming home this week. Well not really home, they want to send her to a rehab place until she can do things for herself a little better. At least she'll be closer and we can see her more often. Derek and Cerah haven't seen her in about 3 weeks:( Yesterday was also the one month mark since her accident.

What A Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had sooooooooooooo much going on this weekend. As I'm sure everyone else did too.

Thursday we went to Winchester to watch fireworks..they were OK. It was hot and I spilled my ice cream all over my clothes. At least it was dark and no one saw it:)

Friday we went to our town park for a fun day and fireworks. Of course it rained. It did clear up and the kids got to do a lot of fun things. They did do the fireworks too. It was kind of cloudy but they were nice.

Saturday we spent the day, and I mean WHOLE day at Dale and Lorene's having a cookout and then fireworks. The kids all went swimming and too much fun. Derek go a rash right a his trunk line on his waist. I think it was from pulling his shorts up everytime he jumped in. They weren't the normal pair he wears.

I have pictures but my camera is still in the car and I haven't gotten out there to get it:)

Derek's birthday is on Friday!! I can't believe he is going to be 6!!!! We will have a cake and give him a few gifts. His party is on Sunday. He's sooo excited. We're gonna work on our pinata today. Oh I can't wait for this mess:)

Larry had to go back to work today. SORRY:)

Derek also starts basketball again tonight. He's pretty excited.

Cerah is going to do the fair pageant again. I will take pictures of her 2 dresses so you can vote. I can't make a decision.

OH AND SOME GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD NEWS!!!

Larry's mom may be coming home today. Well, she'll be coming back to our town. She will have to go to a rehab place for awhile. But at least she will be close and we can visit her more often. The kids haven't seen her in 2 weeks. They usually see her at least 3-4 times a week. So I hope this goes well. We will have cake with her on Friday for Derek's birthday since she won't be able to come to his party.

Yet another surgery...... pancakes in ketchup......car won't start

Larry's mom had yet another surgery this morning. She had a skin graft from her thigh moved to her leg in hopes this would help to heal her leg. Please keep her in your prayers. She looks good. We did get to go down and visit for awhile. I washed her hair for her. It's my "job". She seems to feel better when her hair is clean. Thanks again for all your good thoughts and prayers.

Yesterday before we went to the hospital we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Can you believe Larry has NEVER eaten at Cracker Barrel???? Where did I get him from:)
Cerah decided her pancakes would be GREAT dipped in ketchup!!! YUP KETCHUP!!!!!!!!! She ate the whole thing and kept saying yum..EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Larry said.."That's my girl" He eats ketchup on almost everything..but not pancakes...

My car wouldn't start last night.Don't know why or what happened.So we left it at my mom's and called the shop we always take our cars to.This morning we got to my mom's, tried to start it again...NOPE NOTHING!!! So we had it towed to the shop.

The guy called me to tell me............... IT STARTED RIGHT UP!!! and not only that it started 4 times!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's still gonna check over it and make sure why it happened.DARN IT!!

I was working at both Mcdonald's and Wachovia bank. Still "dating Larry and living at his mom's house. Us and our little pooch plus allll the stuff I bought for our new house we would eventually move into:)

1-Give the kids a bath and take them to my mom's
2- Go visit Larry's mom
3- Maybe convince Larry to take me out for lunch since we can eat in "peace"
4- LAUNDRY, LAUNDRY. LAUNDRY
5- Take the kids swimming

Snacks I enjoy:
Since it's summer..I LOVE fresh fruit. Also, ice cream, fiber bars, gummy bears

Things I would do if I were a millionaire:
1- Build Larry a gym for all his "kids" to play ball FREE of charge ( can you believe these kids have to pay to play at an inside facility???)
2- Pay off bills
3- Put money in an account for these kids for school
4- Give to charities

Well today is our first official day of vacation. We spent most of the day at Larry's mom's cleaning.

Update: She was moved to another hospital, INOVA and will be there for awhile. They are doing everything they can to help her heal. Please continue to pray for her and hope that all goes well.
We don't know when she'll be home.It could be next week it could be two.She's upset that she's going to miss Derek's birthday.I'll take bunches of pictures:)

Larry and Derek went to a tractor pull..I know..fun.Cerah and I are at my mom's waiting for her to get home.

This week Derek and I will be making the pinata for his party. WHY would I pay $18.00 for a paper ball that looks like a baseball when we can have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun making our own. Hey it may not be great but at least we'll have fun.PLUS..it's gonna be trash anyway:)

Us moms decided to have a little party for them. Of course the day we did..it stormed. It passed and the boys had a load of fun pulling on the tree branches and getting wet.

Notice Derek and Jacob have the same shirt on?? Blaize has one too but he had his pictures taken with his dad and brother earlier in the day. All three of them have matching transformers shirts.

*** Update on Larry's mom:

She had her surgery last night to help clean out the infection. I talk ed to Larry's step-dad today and she has to have another one today. Please continue to pray for her. We're not sure how much longer she will be in the hospital. Thank you all for all your support. Who would have thought "strangers" would be the most comfort:) LOVE YA

Derek will be turning 6 on July 11. Yup in about 2 weeks:( We have party plans in full swing..get it..he's having a baseball party. OK maybe I'm just a dork.

He's pretty excited. NOT ME!!!

We've been asking him what he wants for his birthday. He says.."whatever". The other day we had a little conversation:

M: Derek what do you want for your birthday
D: I don't' know mom.
M: Well if you don't tell me I guess we don't have to buy you anything (Just kidding of course)
D: Mom, do you think I can have transformer stuff for my room now? I don't think I want firetrucks anymore.
M: Why?
D: Because I'm a big boy now. I'm gonna be six and I need to have transformers.
M: I guess we can see what we can do.
D: Can I keep the firetruck blanket that Holly's mommy sent me? I really like that.
M: Sure.

Larry's mom is going to get him his bedding for his "new room". We are taking him to see monster jam..he's too excited. Cerah has gotten him Bumblebee and Optimus Prime transformers.

PS: Larry's mom is doing a little better. She will have the surgery this afternoon about 5. Hopefully it will be the last one and she will get better soon.

Hey there gang!! I know I promised more pictures. I have been helping to take care of Larry's mom. So I've been spending a lot of my time down at her house. She DOESN"T have the Internet..GASP!!!!!!!! So I can't do anything while she's asleep.

Now back to the square one... She had her post op visit this morning and they admitted her back to the hospital for an infection. She will be having yet another surgery tomorrow evening to clean it all out again and start the wound vac back up. The wound vac is something new that is suppose to help you heal 10-15 faster.

So now we're back at the hospital:( Please continue to send her your prayers.

OH and on a funny note...well not for the guys... On Sunday a man got out of his truck and fell at 7-11 and broke his ankle. YUP the same one that she works at!!! Can you believe that!!! CRAZY!!

On another note ( yes I know I have a bunch)
Keep Baby A ( the little boy that Kim, Jay and Alex are fostering)... in your prayers. He had his surgery today and according to Kim's guest blogger Sarah he is doing well.

What am I gonna do for my vacation?? Larry and Derek are going to be home next week..(good grief help me know). It probably won't be too much since Larry's mom is back at the hospital. i think we may take the kids down to Kings Dominion for the day. I know Derek would love to see Spongebob and Cerah may have a conniption when she sees Dora and Deigo!!
Sorry Kim, we can't make it to KY this year:( Maybe in the fall:) Let me work on it.

Amy and I are trying to plan a girls weekend AWAY for our birthday (hers is at the end of Sept mine is in Oct) Any ideas of something FUN for 2 mommas away for a weekend???

This is how they were when I got home from the concert. He was great to stay home and have some daddy time while I went to the concert with Amy..yet another reason I love this man

I didn't get to post on Father's Day so I'll take this time to write about the GREATEST dad in the whole world.

Who would have thought 15 years ago we would be here with our two little monkeys. Larry is the sweetest, kindest most loving person to have ever come into my life. He is an AWESOME dad. I LOVE when him and Derek sit together and watch sports. Derek had learned the fine art of yelling at the TV when there is a bad call. They are so cute to watch together and you can see the pride in Larry's eyes and the love spilling from Derek to his hero.

Cerah will stop whatever she is doing when Larry comes home and run to the top of the stairs to say hi and give him a hug. She has him sooo wrapped around her finger. If she is not wanting to go to bed she yells...daddy.. and he comes running. He is great with her. I think at first he was a little of afraid of having a little girl, but oh how those fears have changed to unconditional love.

Me well, I have my best friend to share all these moments with. I am so blessed to have him as my husband and the father of our children. He has shown me what love is. Every day I feel like the luckiest person in the world. Yes now I have to wait to be the third one to be kissed when he gets home from work, but hey , I'll wait all day for him:)

OK..so Sunday Larry's mom gets a phone call from her boss. ANOTHER CAR HAS DRIVEN THROUGH THE 7-11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!! Thank goodness no one was hurt this time. No it wasn't the same person.

Larry's mom came home today. She is so glad to be out of the hospital. Cerah and I will be going down to take care of Granny:)

Larry and Derek are having a boys night out. Dinner at Glory Days and a basketball game. They are having fun. I had to call and check on them:)

I have a TON of pictures. I'm working on it I promise. It hard to get them on here with someone pulling my leg yelling.." Up Momma"

The concert was GREAT!!!! We had a blast. I took my friend Amy. Larry couldn't go since our baby sit for the night was injured. I can't believe the way people dress and act!! Wait till you see the pictures. YES I took pictures of some characters:)

I'm debating on taking Derek to see Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. He loves her. When I told him this is our conversation:

M: Derek we might take you to a concert for your birthday
D: Who mom
M: The people who sang the song in Lighting McQueen ( cars)
D: Is Lightning McQueen going to be there?

Bless his little heart. We may just take him to see Rodney Adkins...since at least there's no alcohol there:)

We are taking him to Monster Jam for his birthday. One of his friends and his parents are going too. It's in Hagerstown, MD.... if anyone else is going let me know:)

Well Larry's mom didn't come home on Thursday. They decided Wednesday night she needed to go back into surgery to insert a wound drain, something to help all the yucky stuff drain from her leg. So now they say she'll be there until at least Monday. We have gone almost everyday to visit. I can tell she so wants to come home.

So we're back on the run today. We're having a"graduation party" for Derek, Blaize and Jacob ( 2 of Derek's friends from school) Nothing big just them and the parents and siblings. We're going to the park for pizza and cake. I have to go pick up some balloons.

Derek's had his t-ball picnic on Thursday. He was so excited to get yet another trophy. He also won the bike from the hit a thon for raising the most money.

OH BEST NEWS............... The new Wal-Mart opened!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh and even better news.............. Tomorrow night is my date with Tim McGraw...!!! Larry can't go with me so, Amy is going to go!! Now to find the perfect outfit to see my man:)

Hello all... THANK YOU soooooooooo much for all you thoughts and prayers. I have told her all about my blog "family"

She is doing better. We thought she might be getting out tomorrow but it looks like it'll be a few more days. Cerah and I have been to visit her everyday..Derek was at "summer camp" but he got to go today and help me wash her hair.

I think it helps keep her spirits up when she see the kiddos.

The door at 7-11 that has plywood up..people have been signing with well wishes. I'm gonna take a picture and let you see. All her "regulars" loved her.

Derek signed it tonight... Dear Graney...I love Derek and Cerah. How cute is he:))

PRAYERS for my Mother in Law

On Saturday morning on my way to the Relay I got a phone call from Larry's brother telling me there was an accident at Larry's mom's work.

She works at a 7-11 in town. A car came through the front door and hit her. She had a really bad fractured left leg.

She is OK but will have to stay in the hospital for a few more days. She had surgery to repair the fracture.

Please send her your prayers for fast healing...

RELAY NEWS:

I didn't make it to the whole event, due to being at the hospital all day.. However I did go at 10pm and walk until 3am... I walked 30 laps!!! Darn it I didn't beat Liz and Amber...HEY but I would have if I were there all night:) Maybe next year...

The goal was $125,000..................... we raised $135,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Today is our RELAY FOR LIFE!!!

I am so proud to be walking today in memory of Grandma Pat ( who was my great aunt, we just called her grandma) and my Aunt Diane. I love and miss them everyday. I know they would be proud.

Kindergarten Graduation!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!! Today is the day of Derek's kindergarten "celebration"!! They don't have a formal graduation, each class has done it's own thing. I guess since there were 9 kindergarten classes it was easier.

So today at 1:30 Derek is having his ice cream social. The parents were all invited and we will be having cake as well, for Derek's teacher. She has decided to teach closer to home. She was driving an hour each way everyday to the school their in. WOW!!

She has been a GREAT teacher and I am so glad Derek got to have her as his teacher for his first year.

I can't believe that his first year of school is already over!!! As of tomorrow he will be a first grader!!! A FIRST GRADER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of him. He has accomplished so much this year!! I can't believe what they teach in kindergarten!!!

Well, off to finish the scrapbook I'm making fr his teacher and run the 5000 errands I need to get done before going back to Derek's school.

I know I'm behind..what's new:) But we have been so busy. Larry was off work this week. So we had to come up with some clever ideas of why he was "going to work late". If Derek knew he was on vacation he would have wanted to stay home too.

Coaches VS Cancer

Last night one of the Relay teams had a basketball game to raise money for their team.
It was the Warren County Coaches against the Skyline Coaches (Larry coaches at Skyline).

It was a very interesting game. And at many time TOOOO funny. The referees were a player from each school. ( Both of whom Larry has coached at one point)

It was a lot of fun. But, I took no pictures. Due to the fact I had to keep chasing a certain little girl, who decided she wanted to keep running onto the court during the game.

It was looking pretty bad for SHS early on. They were losing by 12 at one point. However they came back and with less than a minute...Larry scored a basket to tie it up and send it into OT.

When Larry came to the bench Derek said..

"Dad if you would have shot a 3, you would have won the game and not tied it up"

So they played another 5 minutes. And Skyline won!!!!!!!!!!!!! 74-63

It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot in the gym. My A$$ was soaked with sweat when we left. I think they had the heat on:)

WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!

So I read the paper this morning..............yes I do that sometimes....... and they have RELEASED the man who caused all the drama!!!!!!!!!

He was released on a $2000 unsecured bond on the condition that he immediately seek a mental health evaluation.

WHAT!!!!!!!

This man who held himself barricaded in his house for 5 hours, had our normally quiet neighborhood upside down. IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna try to get the article on the blog this weekend.

I am appalled at this situation. What's to say that this weekend he has a little too much to drink and it happened again ( alcohol was a factor and he has been arrested before for driving under the influence) ?? There are a LOT of kids in this neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!

Let's just say my kids are going to be staying very close to home for awhile.

This is why people do the things they do, BECAUSE THEY CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and he fired his gun inside his house. 10-12 houses had to be evacuated as well.

I'll try to get FFF up tomorrow........ I know I'm a slacker...but hey I can only pick 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I need time to pick that extra special one...

We're OK. The standoff was over about midnight. Still don't know all the details. What we have HEARD is that a man was in his house with a gun and threatening himself. The swat team was here and the house was surrounded.

Derek was a little afraid only because his friend from his class lives on that road. SO I called and talked to his mom and they were all OK. They just couldn't leave their house and swat was in their yard. But OK........

As soon as I find any more details I"ll let you know.

And YES.... we took pictures........... :) of the police and swat.

I feel so lost not having posted in so long:) It's been a busy few days around here. I don't even know where to start.
Friday night we went down into our little town for Mayfest, it's like a small festival with food and craft vendors. The kids had fun eating their funnel cake. I have pictures but I'll post them later.
Friday Amy and I also spent the WHOLE day baking... for our little bake sale.

Saturday Lora and I sat at our bake sale. We made about $65. Not too bad. The proceeds will go to our Relay team.
Saturday Larry, Cerah and I also went to another festival in the neighboring town. It was ALL about wine. Dude I wish I had a taste for wine. It was an ALL day thing. I then went back to "man" the tent for Relay. I saw people who had been there all day STILL drinking. But hey, they were having a good time:)

Derek's little friend from school is coming over today. He's so excited!!

He only has 14 days of school left. I can't believe kindergarten is already over!!!

We're also planning a mini vacation in July. I can't wait. The kids are so excited to be going to the beach. Well , we'll see when her highness actually sees the water. She freaked out at Lake Michigan and there were no waves there.

Many of you know that I, along with some family and friends, am walking in the Relay for Life in our area.

I went to a meeting last night and everyone was talking about all the fundraising they were doing "during" the walk.

I need some help deciding what to do.

I'd like to sell a few things and raffle off a few things. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

I'll tell you more later...after the screaming child on my lap goes for a nap:)

*** Edit... I need help!!! A few months ago I "found" a blog that had a GREAT Cherry Pie recipe on it...I have no idea where I got it from. All I remember is it was made from cherries in the can..NOT pie filling..and pie crust..yeah I know great details huh!! I do remember I got the link from someone elses blog... I'm not going crazy... If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know. I want to make 2/3 for our bake sale this weekend... HELP HELP HELP

Yet another concert!!!

Stephanie and I went to see Trent Tomlimson and John Michael Carroll at Apple Blossom. We had soo much fun. But standing made our backs hurt. I guess that's what happens when you get old:)

It was a great show. We had a few "adult" drinks. It was HOT and it was stinky under the tent.. but hey... who cares.

During the concert a guy decided he wanted to crowd surf..well I don't think he told his friends to catch him because next thing we knew he fell right next to us. They were a few interesting characters that we found to be more entertaining at time:)

What A Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a great weekend!!

Friday night we went to dinner at Chili's. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!! We then went to Wal-Mart and TJ Maxx. Didn't really get anything just spent some time with the family:)

Saturday I had to go to "work". I had a blast!! My "job" was to sit outside and hand out free samples of the subs and cookies. I got to talk to a bunch of different people.
The local radio station was there and they we hilarious!!

The radio station was giving away tickets to see Tim McGraw and Sugarland. So everyone who stopped by got to enter for the tickets. As the day was ending I ran over to their table and said:
"Wait I haven't entered yet. My slave driver wouldn't let me leave the table"
So I filled out may paper and went back to my table. Next thing I hear:
" You gotta be kidding me" Then both Chris (the radio host) and Wade (Stephanie's husband) look over at me.

I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was given the choice of which concert I wanted (since I was still there and the other person wasn't)

SO I PICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
The concert is next month. That's all I know. Not sure of our seats. But I think they're usually pretty good:)

Sunday was CRAP!!!!!!! Lets just say I didn't have lunch with my mom because she decided to go with my sister instead. After we made plans a week before she even decided to go to church with her. So I was upset all day. But I had fun spending time with the kiddos:)

watches her son or daughter disappear
down the street, walking to school alone
for the very first time?

The jolt that takes her from sleep to
dread, from bed to crib at 2 A.M. to put
her hand on the back of a sleeping baby?

The panic, years later, that comes again
at 2 A.M. when she just wants to hear
their key in the door and know they
are safe again in her home?

Or the need to flee from wherever she is
and hug her child when she hears news
of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?

The emotions of motherhood are
universal and so our thoughts are for
young mothers stumbling through diaper
changes and sleep deprivation...

And for mature mothers learning to let go.
For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers.
Single mothers and married mothers.
Mothers with money, mothers without.

This is for you all. For all of us...
Hang in there. In the end we can
only do the best we can. Tell them
every day that we love them. And pray
and never stop being a mother

Sarah has picked a GREAT theme for the week. Isn't it great to honor momma's!! As I looked for pictures I realized.... There are so very few pictures of me with the kiddos. Then I went back and looked at their scrapbooks. WHOLE pages of pics with dad!!!

My mother is the most wonderful Mom in the world! She's as pretty as a rainbow. Her name is Soltana and she is 32 years old. Her eyes are blue and she weighs 102, and she is 7 feet tall. Her favorite food is grilled cheese and her favorite television show is the news.

How much do I love this kid that I only weigh 102!!!! And I'm as pretty as a rainbow!!!!!!!!!!
